Reef Dram Sandals are a new product by Reef. They are nice-looking sandals with empty soles which allow you to pour liquids into them. They are intended to give you the freedom to bring alcoholic beverages into sporting events and concerts, which opens up a large security threat; AIRPLANES. Sure they make you take off your shoes at mostly all major airports but they never thoroughly check them.

I’m getting some for the intended usage.

A list of things we know so far about Halo 3

Here are a list of things in Halo 3 that we know about so far. I have compiled this list from many different sources. Here it goes:

Halo 3 will use HDR lighting
The Xbox 360 “Right Bumper (RB)” button will become the new ‘action’ button. Pickup weapons, reload, etc.
Dual-wielded weapons can be individually reloaded using RB and LB.
Halo 3 will have a feature in which users can send and receive video clips of recorded game play. This is a feature I definitely wanted in Halo 2.
When a players’ second weapon is not in use, Master Chief will put it in his leg holster or put it on his back. This depends on how big the weapon is.
Halo 3’s matchmaking will be totally revamped. Lets prey it’s better than Halo 2’s!
Like most PC games, the Halo 3 “player match” (unranked) will no longer require you to be invited to your friends game, you can select a game publicly from a list of matches that are currently being hosted. There will also be filters so you can filter out the match types, maps, weapons, etc. that you don’t want. This is another feature that I really wanted in Halo 2, I could never seem to find a game that I actually wanted to play.
Halo 3’s rank will be based on skill and experience. So no longer will people be able to say how great they are just because they spend five hours a day playing Halo.
There will be an A-Hole button which allows you to mute the cocky little ten-year-old who keeps beating you and talking trash.
They have completely revamped the Halo 3 user interface to make it easier to get around. They stated that it would be much easier and quicker to create a custom match.
In a custom match you will be able to change the strength of gravity to your needs. That sounds like FUN.
Since there is a- as Bungie states- “Significant Chunk” of female players, you will have the ability to change the Spartan’s voice to a female voice. To tell you the truth, I’ve only played with, at the most, five females in Halo 2.
Halo 3 will exchange the players’ emblems with “Call Signs” which will make spotting a certain player easier since I could never recognize the emblems anyway.
Halo 3’s “draw distance” (the distance that you can see) will be in excess of 10 in-game miles.
Master Chief’s visor will have a real time reflections, so will other reflective surfaces like the armor of the Ghost.
The foliage will have real time shadows, react to players and their bullets, react to the customizable gravity and will move with the wind. Awesome.
Water will be more realistic as well. Not only will it look more realistic, it will flow around objects and splash when things hit it.
Water will have real time reflections.
There will be much more environmental effects like dust, haze and smoke. These particle effects will also react to the world around them.
Halo 3 will utilize real-time depth of field. Don’t worry about your gameplay being affected because it will only be used in cut scenes, however, I believe they will use it when you are scoping in with long range and medium range weapons. A lot of games do this and I don’t see why they wouldn’t do this.
The audio has been totally revamped as well. There will be separate sound clips for near-by gun fire and far-away gun fire. There will also be hundreds of voice samples.
The Halo 3 standard edition game will cost you a regular price of 59.99, the limited edition will cost you 69.99, and the legendary edition will cost you 129.99.
The Halo 3 standard edition game will include only the Halo 3 game and all the “regular” stuff.
The legendary edition will include Halo3, Mjolnir Mark VI Game Case, The making of Halo 3 DVD, Halo collectors source guide, Exclusive disk (cut scenes, a day at bungie, and other miscellaneous content) and Lee Wilson key-moments story art. Click here to see a picture of the Legendary Edition.

Why writing down your goals makes you more successful

Lets say you have a date planned to go out with a woman (or man), what do you do? You write down when and where on a piece of paper. Look at goals as plans for the future. This is exactly what you are doing when you write a goal. They are a plan for the future. If you write it down, it will happen, and that’s it, that’s all you have to do. So write down what you want. You can write it on a text document on your computer or on a piece of paper, just make sure it’s visible to you frequently. This will remind you of your goal every day. So put it on your computers’ desktop or on your desk or refrigerator.
Why does writing down goals make things happen? Because when you write it down it then becomes “official” in your mind. It no longer is an idea, it’s a plan. Now these goals don’t always have to be words either, they can be pictures. So draw out what you want or find a picture on the web of what you want and put it somewhere where you will always see it. Lets say you want to be the top student of your class. Draw out or even better; Photoshop a picture of your grades and your name being number one in the list of the top students in your class.
When writing down your goals, always state them like this…The title of your “Goals” paper should be something like “What I will achieve”, as opposed to “What I want to achieve”. When you say you “want” something, you will always want it and you will never get it. And when writing down your goals, try to always set a date and write your goals in the present tense, for example:

May 1st 2008: Our companies revenue has doubled in one year, all thanks to the new great idea I came up with.

With that, you will make it so you really do come up with that million dollar idea for your company.
Make the date realistic but, set the date (be specific) when you want to achieve you goal.
So I hope this helps you achieve what you want (or what you WILL get). Have fun with this and remember that there are no limits with your goals, but be realistic.

Amazing pictures of the worlds largest diamond mine

I found these images on a quest to find out how diamonds are made and to see if I could make a diamond using the pressure of the sea. Turns out you needs lots and lots of heat

This mine is located in Mirnyj, Russia. Click the images to enlarge them.

Helicopters have been banned from this area due to helicopters being sucked in because of downward air flow.

The red arrow in the above picture points to a 220-ton rock moving truck. The truck is 20 feet tall, just to show you how huge this whole is.

Now my question is; Where does all the dirt go?

How to fix a warped Macbook screen

Please note that I’m not responsible for any idiotic things you do with this tutorial. Use common sense.

I’ve seen hundreds of complaints about the Macbook screen getting warped due to heat (I’ve also seen many complaints of the Macbook complaints of heat, but that’s another topic). This problem mostly involves the Macbook pro but there are a few cases where the smaller Macbook gets warped as well.

I’m a new mac owner and I love it but this little thing has been annoying me, so I went ahead and did some research. I found that more that 95% of these things get warped. I saw polls on forums and the statistics were amazing. I read cases where people would send their ‘book in to Apple and it would come back fixed but after about 20 minutes of usage it’s warped again due to heat. So here it is, the tutorial for fixing that annoying problem. Note that this is not a permanent fix. If you want a life-long fix then I suggest you write Apple telling them to put some magnets in on the sides of the Macbook so the screen sticks to the computer.

This is what mine looked like. Mine wasn’t too bad because it’s new. I’ve seen much worse.

Okay, for this tutorial you are going to need something thin like a Popsicle stick and you will also need two heavy books (not too heavy, mind you).

For this I grabbed a Popsicle stick and broke it in two…

Next, I stuck it right in the middle of my Macbook, between the screen and the keyboard area. Make sure you do not stick the sticks in too far so you don’t scratch/damage your screen.

After that I simple put two heavy books (not too heavy, remember) on each side of my Macbook. I really didn’t need to leave the books on the Macbook for very long, I only left it there for an about an hour and the results were pretty surprising.

Ta-Da! All better. Now my Macbook shuts nice and snugly without any play. Now, I’m sure it will become warped again if I get my Macbook nice and hot but it’s a nice temporary fix. I bet if I did this enough I could get the screen “trained” like that. We will see!
